Bottle cap artwork hung on Antigo light posts

City of Antigo workers installed new plastic bottle cap artwork displays on six light posts in downtown Antigo for the Antigo Visual Arts (AVA) Recycled Art Committee.

"I am so proud of the creative community members who made these plastic bottle cap strings that are hanging on posts and the city workers who put them up for us," said Danna Gabriel of AVA Recycled Art Committee. "The plastic bottle cap project has been serving as a unique local asset, and our community members are recognizing the importance of creative economy. I’ve read up on creative economy since being involved with AVA Public Art, and it has been shown to help create employment and income, promote innovation, and contribute to societies’ well-being."
